Retro Bohemian Bedroom Makeover

My husband and I have been sleeping in a stark white box for the last year. It was so sad that I’m actually kind of embarrassed to share the before pic but here ya go.

Yep, pretty bad, right? So to say that I’m excited that our bedroom makeover is finally complete would be such an understatement.

You guyyyyyssssss…. I am sooo in love with how it all turned out!!! We have gorgeous color on the walls, lush bedding with loads of pretty pillows, jewel toned velvets, a pink wall mural and Flamingo patterned wall paper to top it all off! I mean, what more could ya want, right?!

Anyway, I’m not going to bore you with too many details on this one because I know you’re here to see the pics but basically I wanted to create a retro inspired getaway. There are lot of playful moments happening throughout the room that could have easily turned “sweet 16” but because I included a lot of traditional elements and rich jewel tones, the space feels very grounded and sophisticated.

Anyway, without further ado…

So fun, right?!!! I think it might be one of my very favorite makeovers to date and I didn’t have to spend a lot of money.

Here’s the low down.

Wallpaper: Provided by Brewster Home Fashions. It’s called Frolic Lagoon in the color Magenta. (Use PREPPYBOHOHEMIAN at checkout for 10% off your entire purchase. Expires on 10/30/20.)

Paint Color: Crushed Out by Valspar. A beautiful pale pink with the perfect amount of mauve undertone. Blends beautifully into the background when you pair it with jewel tones.

  1. Truly a stunning bedroom makeover. The colors are so well mixed & the patterns too! Certainly a space Iā€™d love to wake up & fall asleep to. Sparks instant creativity. GREAT JOB!
